Though it may be okay for kids to throw a tantrum, scream and yell, or curse at home, it isn't going to be okay at school or daycare. Teach your kids early how to handle their emotions. Equip them with strategies for dealing with the many things that can go wrong in their world that can make them mad, frustrated, or have a meltdown. It's important to be a good role model for handling emotions.

Hello again from Tanner. Where do you see the most bullying happening at your school? You might say, "everywhere!" That's probably true. What about the cafeteria? Here's an idea: invite a shy or bullied kid to sit with you and your friends at lunch. Easy to do, right? Think how great you can make that kid feel. And he'll think you guys are the greatest. Try it!

OLIVER'S TIPS FOR KIDS

When its too hot to go outside, I like to look out the window in Mommy's office. I can be here with her while she works. I have to be careful to not bother her or interfere when she's working. You have to think about that when others are watching TV, reading, or having alone time. That's being respectful.
