SOCIAL SKILLS TIPS BY BARBARA

This is my grandson, Tanner. When he was nine, he asked me why kids were so mean and rude to each other, and why they couldn't be kind and polite to each other. He also wanted to know why some kids think that being mean and bullying was cool. Shouldn't being kind and caring be cool? That was how Cool Kind Kid got started. Tanner was the first character created. If you follow Tanner's Tuesday Tips this month, you'll meet Francie, one of Tanner's friends. She has a lot of great ideas for ways kids can have fun, be kind, caring, and say "no" to bullying. #SOCIALSKILLSFORKIDS #BECOOLKINDKIDS #ANTIBULLYING

TANNER;S TUESDAY TIPS

Hi kids, It's Tanner here for the New Year with tips on how to be a friend so you will have many friends. Here are some of my friend Francie's Fab Fun Friendship Facts: A friend puts their friend first, is always kind, and helps a friend wherever and whenever they can. Friends are caring, considerate of their friend's feelings, and are always polite to their friend. I'll have more tips in my next post. See you later!

OLIVER'S TIPS FOR KIDS

Here's my other New Year message: Don't be a bully! Just because I'm an English Bullie doesn't mean that I get to bully anyone. So I don't want you to do that. No-one will like you when you bully. Be kind, caring, polite, and have lots of treats ready for pets who visit. Stay warm by the fire in this cold weather. #SOCIALSKILLSFORKIDS #OLIVERSTIPSFORKIDS #ANTIBULLYING

SHOCKING SUNDAY STATS

This year over 13 million American kids will be bullied at school, online, on the bus, at home, through their cell phone, and on the streets of their towns, making it the most common form of violence young people face in this country.
